I love how these pots cook but when they arrived, I noticed that one pot was slightly misshapened and one cover had a dent. Another buyer had posted this same problem. I was disappointed.

I love my new set, the only complaint I have is that there should be another pot, possibly 6-quart lidded stockpot. I looked for it as a single product and did't find it so far. Other then that it is all that it claims to be.

I purchased this set 3 years ago after much research. I wanted a set that was easy to clean, I could cook with daily, use in the oven, wouldn't break down like so many of the "non-stick" pans do on the market, something within my budget, and offered a variety of pieces as a set. This is a great set to own if you are looking for those same things. I do not like cooking with anything but hard anodized now. I have learned that I do not need to cook with a higher heat like I did before these pans. I can cook things such as a fried egg or something with cheese and not have an impossible time cleaning the pan afterward. If something doesn't come out immediately I let it set in hot water for 5 minutes, come back to it, and it easily wipes clean without fuss. I have done my best not to use metal utensils with this set. Once in awhile I catch someone else who helps me in the kitchen and over time I have seen a few marks from where forks scraped the pan. That is why I've given this set a 4 and not 5 stars. I will say that where there is a mark, it has never continued to chip away. I have noticed one of my saucepan lids no longer fit as snuggly but I believe it to be caused by the lid being dropped a few times. I have not experienced any major problems with this set that would cause me to want or need them replaced at this time. I use many of the same pans daily. I am however noticing that since we moved a few months ago and I am no longer using my pot rack holder, that when I stack them inside one another, I have a skillet that is losing a little surface along its edge from something rubbing against it. So I would encourage you to use something between the pans if you plan to store them this way. One last thing, I think I remember when buying this set it mentioning that the handles stay cool. I would agree & disagree. I have used both electric and gas heat with this set. When I've used electric they don't seem to get as hot as when I've used gas, unless I have most or allburners being used with electric heat. With gas heat I have learned it's just best to be in the habit of using a hot pad if the heat is anything but low being used. I hope this is helpful if you are considering this set.

I just received my set yesterday and I can't take my eyes off of them--just leave the lid off. They are more beautiful that I ever expected and I love each and every one of the patterns you sent. They are just the right weight for bone china, beverages cool too fast with a thinner weighted cup. I'd order another set of same if I didn't have my heart set on the other set of five (still waiting). Good job, Royal Albert, too cool for words.

The 100 Years of Royal Albert Teacups & Saucers Set 1950-1990 arrive in a beautiful presentation hatbox. The patterns are beautiful, the colors are vivid and the 22K gold rim adds a touch of class.
The cups have beautiful designs gracing inside as well as the outside of the cups.

These are made in Indonesia, but this information is not printed on the cups or the saucers. There's a lone sticker on the presentation box that describes the country of origin.

Ordered this breadmaker from another well known cooking site. The first loaf came out with 1/2 of it not raised and there was a terrible oil type smell from it. So tried it again figuring the smell had burned off. Same result on bread and the terrible smell was still there. The terrible ugly odd shape of bread you cannot be proud of. Returned it and recieved another one. We put all the mixings into the pan and got ready to enjoy this breadmaker and it is dead!!! Power light lights up, timer counts down but nothing else happens!!! I will not try another one. It is being returned for a refund and that will be my last T-fal appliance!! Total JUNK!!!!!!

I had a Hitachi bread machine in the early 90's when they were very popular We loved using it and it made great bread. The only down side was that the loaves were small (1.3 lb.). After we moved to a new house, the bread machine went into the basement and was forgotten. My daughter became interested in baking bread, so we dragged it out and tried to use it. Sadly, it no longer worked. I spent quite a bit of time researching the options for a replacement. I selected this one because of the large loaf size and the other features. We've used it almost daily ever since. I've used some of the recipes that came with the machine and some that I found online. We've made sandwich bread, French bread, whole wheat bread, brioche and dough for pizza, hamburger rolls and cinnamon rolls. Everything has been fantastic! The three pound loaf size makes enough bread to last through most of a week, so it's a huge improvement over the early bread machines. The only improvement I would want is for more instruction on how to decide when a recipe should be prepared on the 2.0, 2.5 or 3.0 setting and which program to use.

This is my first bread machine. I have made baguettes "by hand" a few times in the past with great success. I was very happy with some French Artisian bread I made as well as the corn bread that I made. The first time I made the baguettes, I made a few kneading mistakes, but they were nice and crunchy on the outside (the part I like). The second time, good results, they just seem a bit more "bready" in the center than the longer ones.

The machine works very well and is easy to use. I have a scratch on the inside after only 4 uses (scratch on the non-stick). It could have been there when I opened it, but it's a little disappointing at this point as I'm a very careful person, and it's a young machine.

I went back and forth between the 4 star Henckel's knife and the Wusthof Classic. I went for the Henckel's due to the lower price. As soon as I opened the package, I was planning on sending it back. There is not a full tang, the handle felt like cheap plastic, the overall knife felt flimsy with no sense of balance. I have been cooking for 20 years, using mostly Chicago Cutlery which is decent but not durable. I like the weight of those knives but the edges get chewed up after a few years. I then ordered the Wusthof Classic the next day. Immediately after picking up that knife, it is clear it is in a whole different class. The knife has a full tang, riveted, solid handle. There is some weight to the knife but it is so well balanced it is not noticeable when in use. In the end, the Wusthoff cost $30 more but in my opinion, well worth the extra cost.

This knife is a superstar! I cannot express how much more enjoyable food preperation has become since I purchased it. After two years of almost daily use, it looks and performs like it just came out of the box. Of course, I only hand wash and dry it, and I never allow food or anything else to dry on this gem! I purchased this set as a housewarming gift for my niece's apartment, which is small. I selected this one because the description said it was good for small apartments. They were right. This set looks great, has a relatively small footprint and was not expensive. There is a little bit of assembly but nothing difficult. In just a few minutes, her apartment was looking fantastic!

I've been roasting for 15 years. I've had FR roasters since the early days. I also have a 1.5 lb outdoor roaster. But I'm now down to 1 coffee drinker household, so I rely on my FR a lot. This model is the one to get, it's worth the extra $50 for the heat settings and variable fan. Rather than repeat what others have said, I'll tell you how I use and abuse my SR500.
I roast outside or in the garage. This roaster is very susceptible to ambient temperature, so setting mentioned below vary with season. I have a 4" extension on the chamber and only use the bottom of the chaff collector (see photo.) I use a kitchen timer, and turn the roaster off and on at about 1 minute to reset it.
Typical roast:
Overload beans to top of metal band.
Start roaster on medium. Stir beans with SS rod for first minute.
Reset roaster at 5 minutes (turn off and on). 1st crack often starts somewhere around here
Move up to high at about 6 minutes. Somewhere about here the beans are getting light and I slow the fan.
2nd crack starts around 8 minutes.
Nice Full City roast in about 9 minutes (usually).
Dump the beans immediately into a cooling tray. Put the chamber back on and run a cooling cycle to cool down it and the electronics.
There is one minor flaw in the design - pushing the timer buttons turns the fan off. There's no reason for that other than poor circuit design. But as mentioned, I turn it off and on real fast rather than push a button 30 or 40 times.
After about 40 lbs. I roasted my roaster, and just ordered a new one. I'm sure it's my fault. I've been meaning to take it apart and clean it, but got lazy. When it wouldn't get to 1st crack, I removed the screws on the bottom. Totally packed with chaff. I'm sure the electronics couldn't cool properly with all that chaff insulation. My bad.
A really nice roaster with excellent results.

Absolutely phenomenal...! Love fresh coffee from this little machine. Really it's a super powerful hair dryer with a container for your beans.

I roast at high heat with high fan, leave the chaff collector off for the first two minutes and stir the beans with a long handle stainless steel utensil - otherwise you will produce an uneven batch. After 2mins carefully replace the chaff collector onto the jar and finish the roast. I find the perfect roasts to be about 10 seconds into the 2nd crack.

Fresh Roast Coffee Roaster SR 500:: Overview


The Fresh Roast SR 500 coffee roaster is a larger version of the Plus 8. It will roast twice the capacity of the Plus 8 (4 scoops, 120 gm) with a digital time display. The maximum time to set the control is 9.9 minutes however with the great added features at any point during the roast sequence you can add 6 seconds every time you tap the button. Time can also be subtracted using the same method. The timer can be overridden by tapping the Cool button, the roaster will go into the Cool mode for 3 minutes. The Fresh Roast SR 500 coffee roaster has the same capacity (4 scoops, 120 gm) and features of the SR 300 - plus three temperature settings that can be adjusted any time during the roasting process: High temp. = 490 degrees Medium temp. = 455 degrees Low temp. = 390 degrees A Fan Speed Control has been added to the SR 500 that allows the finest tuning of the roast. The Fan Speed Control allows adjustments of + or - 10%. Starting the roast, the beans are at their heaviest, the fan speed can be turned up to keep the beans fluid and give an even roast. As the beans become lighter, the fan speed can be turned down and keep the beans from chipping. Instructions are clear and simple with these models and allows complete control to the user without trying to figure out the programming. New to these models are the control panels which face up instead of having to squat down to view the settings and roasting process. As with the Plus 8 model, the chaff collector sits on top making access to remove chaff trouble-free. And true to tradition, viewing of the coffee as it is roasting is part of the fun with complete view ability. Clean up with this model is easy. Both models are great values for the price. Their simple design & operation makes them a great choice for both beginners and those looking for simplicity. Size wise the units are similar to the Plus 8 model measuring approximately 12" tall by 7" wide. Never leave a roaster unattended when roasting coffee.

We just bought a house and our old table wouldn't fit. This is a neat little table that fits perfectly in our dining area. It seems sturdy but we did have one issue while putting it together. A hole wasn't drilled in one of the chairs! Other than that it will be great for my husband and I to eat at.

I'm not really sure what some of the other people were talking about when they said it was hard to build, flimsy, or that the stools didn't fit when trying to put it away. I received this set today. I (a 21 yr old woman) had it built in less than and hr, building it by myself. The instructions were not hard to follow like someone else had mentioned, everything fits together perfectly, and it's very sturdy! The only thing and I literally mean the ONLY thing wrong with this set is that i was shorted two screws. But luckily they weren't completely necessary. The wood is REAL and beautiful too! Also, the packaging did not arrive damaged. I ordered it on Saturday night and it arrived early this morning (Wednesday). It IS, however, a little smaller than I expected. But it fits perfectly in my tiny kitchen! I definitely recommend this to anyone interested in buying it for whatever reason! It's absolutely perfect and I'm very happy I decided to buy it!
