Unfortunately after ten years or so my Homedic Spa clock no longer functioned. It played nature sounds and projected the time on the ceiling. When I read the reviews of the current Homedic products they did not sound like they were very well made. I went to the store and saw one and I would call it a piece of junk. So, with some trepidation I ordered the Magnasonic MAG-MM176K AM/FM Projection Clock Radio with Dual Alarm, Auto Time Set/Restore, Temperature Display, and Battery Backup and was pleasantly surprised. Most of the other complaints about this clock were about the brightness of the light. This, I assumed was because people were not used to having a light on the ceiling all night. From the first night on I found the red (my old one was blue) to be comforting and easy to read. In fact I thing it is somewhat dimmer than my old one was. The clock is sturdy and I did not find that tips easily. I have not discovered how to change to temperature reading to Fahrenheit yet, but I an certain that I will. I would buy this clock again in a minute and feel it was well worth the money. It is very difficult to get used to sleeping without knowing the time easily and to have the extra light in the room.

The clock is really quite compact and easy to use. While the projected light is not really bright enough to show in bright light unless projected at something very close, it is perfect for night-time use. I have it pointed at the wall opposite my bed, and it is bright enough to tell the time without being bright enough to keep me up. The focus on the projector is very handy as well. Overall I'm really pleased with this clock!
