My son's feet are incredibly sensitive. It's always a battle to find comfortable shoes for him. Everything pinches and hurts. I ordered these shoes in extra wides and they are perfect. Plenty of room for him to move his toes!

My 9 year old daughter loves these shoes. She is extremely picky about fit/comfort and these are one of the few shoes she will wear that have good support. Unfortunately after wearing hers for 3 months (admittedly everday) we are having to buy another pair because parts of the sole keep coming off. We have glued the same part back down twice and now it has come completely off. I thought we must have just gotten a pair with a manufacturing defect but since another reviewer has had a similar problem I'm assuming it is a design or engineering defect. We're buying them again because it's worth it to avoid the hassle of finding another shoe she will wear (though I imagine we'll be gluing the next set as well) but if other brands or models work for you I'd go in that direction instead. At least they are on sale and I'm not plunking down another $50 3 months later - ouch.

I bought these shoes for my son at the beggining of the school year. I was a little nervous spending a lot of money on a pair of shoes as he is only in the 1st grade and I know he is still growing fast, but I really liked the way they looked and they matched his school uniform nicely. When these shoes came in I loved them. They look really nice and my son said they were really comfortable. Bc they did cost a little more then his regular shoes I wanted them to stay clean so I only let him wear them to school. He has only been wearing them for 2 1/2 months now and the soles are coming off the bottoms. Not just a little crack but a huge piece of the sole is just peeling right off the bottom of the shoe. My husband has several pairs of New Balance sneakers and some he has had for years and they are still in good shape. I don't know if they just make their kids shoes cheaply or what but I have been very disappointed in the quality. My son plays outside in them at school for 30 min a day. I should not have to be replacing these shoes after only 2 1/2 months. He has shoes in his closet that I paid $15 for that he wore everyday to school last year and they are still in good shape.
